What are the cancellation options?

The cancellation options all depend on if you purchased any type of cancellation or trip insurance.  For trip packages, every vendor or organization may have different policies.  It is suggested that you get cancellation insurance if you are not sure.  If you are purchasing one of our day-trips the cancellation policy is that with at least 120 days notice prior to your trip’s departure,  you may get a full refund minus any fees that were put on for your trip;  With between 61 and 119 advanced days notice, you may get a full refund minus any fees that were put on for your trip and a $30 per person fee,  With 31 to 59 days notice you may have an in-house credit for the amount less and fees that were put out for your trip.  There are no refunds 30 days or less cancellation prior to the date of the trip

Why use a travel agent or agency?

While the consumer of today feels empowered to do everything by themselves, when making plans for traveling abroad, this attitude can be the cause of a bad experience. A travel agent can share years of experience that can make of your vacation something to talk about, rather than regrets; and for the same price, or most times for a bit less.

What if I contact the many online and well-known booking sites?

Canned chicken soup tastes okay, but it will never replace the taste of soup made fresh chicken, herbs, vegetables and other great ingredients. Same goes with a vacation. You have worked hard all year and are ready to spend a great deal of money, so why not do it right for you and get really terrific benefits by having the vacation of your dreams rather than their soup? Also, isn’t it nice to be able to talk to someone when you need to and know that someone on the other end really does care about your vacation and what you put into it?

Do I really have to worry about drinking water on my trip?

Be very careful when traveling outside of your home country. Many people find that they get sick when drinking water internationally. To avoid this problem, only drink bottled water. Also, avoid foods that are water-based, such as Popsicle’s. Your body will not be used to the bacteria that is present in the water. Also, take care with the food that you eat. Try to eat in established locations, such as nicer restaurants. You can get some great travel food at a restaurant that gives you a taste of the country you are visiting, without risking getting sick. When eating on your own, avoid food that requires a lot of handling. Try to buy pre-packaged foods that do not require handling by employees of the store whenever possible. While you want to avoid tap water, it is important to make sure that you stay hydrated. Not drinking enough water is a common problem for people who are traveling. Make sure that you always have a bottle of water on hand, and that you drink plenty throughout the day.
